KINA editorial difficulty
Ranger
Not an official rating, power score, or tier list- Official weapon
- Bow
- Official role
- A ranged attack role shaped by positioning, timing, and tactical response.
Range reduces some contact pressure, but line of sight, movement routes, and attack timing make positioning the main learning cost.
Official fact: weapon and class role
NC's official Guidebook presents Ranger with a Bow and emphasizes positioning, timing, and tactical response in ranged attacks.
The current official global teaser uses Ranger. NC's 2025 English core-content release used Marksman and described a long-range scout. KINA follows the current global name.
Editorial interpretation: a practice-ready combat loop
An editorial practice loop is: establish safe range and line of sight, reposition when target or environment moves, attack only while position permits, and preserve space for the next movement.
Range is not immunity. Actual distance, movement restrictions, and skill behavior must be checked in the current game text.
Editorial interpretation: PvE, PvP, and RvR contexts
These practice contexts are editorial deductions from the official role profile, not NC playstyle rankings or win-rate claims.
- PvE:Reserve the next safe position before mechanic movement instead of losing line of sight or route for one more action.
- PvP:Include range, obstacles, and enemy approach routes in target selection.
- RvR:Maintain the relationship between back line and front, avoiding chases beyond friendly protection.
Editorial difficulty assessment—not power or tier
KINA rubric v1 rates onboarding at 3/5 and mastery at 4/5. One means a lower learning burden; five means more simultaneous execution, information, or responsibility.
Range reduces some contact pressure, while position, line of sight, and movement planning create moderate onboarding and higher mastery burden.
The rating says nothing about Ranger strength or rank in PvE, PvP, or RvR.
The scores do not compare damage, win rate, class value, gear investment, or party demand and cannot establish a best, worst, or tier.
Beginner practice order
Practise keeping safe range and line of sight while moving before increasing the consistency of attack windows.
- 01
Build a safe baseline
Do not attack; maintain range, line of sight, and a next safe position while moving.
- 02
Add one burden at a time
Add one target and preserve a movement route after every action.
- 03
Recheck the current build
Verify live range, movement restrictions, and tooltips before refining the loop.
Common mistakes and corrections
These are editorial practice reminders and do not assume any unverified skill, cooldown, or coefficient.
- Watching target distance but not obstacles or exit; check line of sight and next position together.
- Chasing beyond party protection; define a front that should not be crossed.
- Assuming every ranged role is automatically easy for beginners; assess positioning and decision load separately.
Version and evidence boundary
Bow, range, positioning, timing, and tactical-response wording reflect official material checked on 2026-07-18.
No range value, moving-attack rule, skill name, damage, gear build, or Global balance claim is made.
The dataset covers nine classes verified on 2026-07-18: the eight base classes on the Global roster and Brawler, added to the Korea/Taiwan Chapter 1 build on 2026-07-01. Global skills, roster, balance, and final play patterns still require client and notice verification.
